Director of Human Resources (Strategic Business Partner)
Fisher Associates is seeking a strategic HR leader to help shape the future of our growing architecture and engineering firm. This is not a traditional HR role—we’re looking for a builder and business partner who can work alongside executive leadership to scale our organization, strengthen our leadership bench, and drive a high-performance culture as we continue to grow.

What You’ll Do
- Partner with executive leadership to align people strategy with business growth
- Lead workforce planning, leadership development, and organizational design
- Build scalable HR programs to support a growing, multi-office firm
- Drive talent acquisition, retention, and employee engagement initiatives
- Support acquisitions and integration efforts
- Ensure strong HR operations and compliance foundations
Requirements
What You Bring
- 8–12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Proven ability to operate as a strategic partner to senior leadership
- Experience in growing or evolving organizations (M&A experience a plus)
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence at the executive level
- Builder mindset-comfortable creating structure and leading change
- Experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or professional services environments a plus
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or rapid organizational growth preferred
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar certification preferred
- Experience in multi-office or multi-state organizations a plus
Salary Range
$125,000-$145,000 annually
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.
