What You’ll Do as a Bridge Design Engineer
- Support bridge design engineering, including load rating, structural analysis, and foundation design.
- Develop design plans, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Maintain detailed records of design documents, reports, and budgets.
- Assist project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with state and local standards, regulations and safety codes.
- Utilize QA/QC processes to deliver quality results.
- Conduct field inspections and prepare detailed inspection reports.
- Provide technical support during construction and resolve RFIs.
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies for project delivery.

Requirements
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5-10 years of transportation or structures/bridge design engineering experience.
- Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it.
- Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD and Bridge Design Software.
- Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT preferred).
- High-quality work, strong problem solving, and sound judgment.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- High adaptability and proactive meeting deadlines.
- Eagerness for continuous improvement and constructive feedback.
