About The Position

We’re in search of an Associate Consultant, Energy to act as a client advocate and extension of our client’s team. You will work with clients in the energy/environmental space as a critical participant in their FiscalNote experience. You will proactively seek and create solutions before problems arise, stay updated on legislative trends, and help produce compelling thought leadership.

About Professional Services at FiscalNote

The Professional Services team supports clients by delivering tailored projects that complement FiscalNote's product suite. Working closely with Business Development and Account Management, the team crafts solutions that empower clients to work smarter.

About You

You are a self-motivated, energetic individual with a passion for energy/environmental policy. You communicate effectively, enjoy blending technology with policy, and are eager to expand your skills. Your strong research, analysis, and writing capabilities allow you to convey targeted insights concisely.

What To Expect In This Position

  • Collaborate across multiple teams to support client projects.
  • Analyze and synthesize legislation and policy at various government levels.
  • Deliver written analysis and professional communication to a diverse audience.
  • Utilize data to interpret, visualize, and generate actionable insights.
  • Manage multiple projects with keen attention to detail and tight deadlines.
  • Own functional aspects of client projects including documentation, timelines, and status communication.
  • Become an expert in current products while contributing to new service developments.
  • Communicate feedback to product, engineering, and sales teams.

What Sets You Apart

  • 2-4 years in energy/environmental policy or consulting.
  • Proven project management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interest in politics, policy, and technology intersections.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as political science, government, economics, or environmental studies.
  • Exceptional independent research, organizational, and time-management skills.
