Job Summary: Data Specialist at Firstsource

Firstsource is actively seeking highly skilled GenAI Data Specialists to contribute to the crucial areas of training, evaluation, and dataset development for cutting-edge Generative AI models. This gig worker role involves diverse tasks including data annotation, content generation, model evaluation, and coding challenges, often within complex multimodal workflows. All work is conducted under stringent security and compliance protocols, emphasizing precision and adherence to standards.

This position is designed for a Gig Worker / Freelancer and is entirely remote.

Payouts range from $3 per hour to $50+ per hour, contingent on qualification tier, task complexity, specific domain, and country/language. Rates for each task, project, or work type will be explicitly declared prior to commencement.

Available domains for specialization include Legal, Finance, Medical & Health, STEM, Creative Arts, Coding & Tech, Content generation, Audio & Speech, among others.

Key Responsibilities and Task Complexity

Low Complexity Tasks:

• Data Collection

Mid Complexity Tasks:

• Content Understanding
• Audio, Speech, and Multimodal Tasks
• Evaluation and Quality Assessment

High Complexity Tasks:

• Translation and Localisation
• Content Generation and Rewrite
• Emerging or Derivative Tasks

Specialized / Technical Tasks:

• Code Related Tasks
• Domain-specific Expert-level Tasks

Qualifications & Complexity Tiers

• Tier 0–1 (Entry / Support): High School or Bachelor’s degree, 0–4 years of experience.
• Tier 2 (Advanced Contributor): Master’s degree or equivalent, 3–5 years of experience.
• Tier 3 (Expert / Research): PhD or equivalent, 5–7+ years of experience.
• Tier 4 (Technical / Coding): CS/Engineering degree or 2–3 years of development experience.

Language Requirements

• Native or fluent proficiency in the project language is required.
• English C1+ (CEFR) is mandatory for select client-facing roles.

Performance Expectations

• Consistently meet defined quality benchmarks.
• Achieve a monthly productivity target of ≥95%.
• Successfully complete all mandatory training and qualification assessments.
