About the Data Specialist Role at Firstsource
The Data Specialist is a GenAI expert who supports training, evaluation, and dataset development for Gen AI models. The role involves data annotation, content generation, model evaluation, coding tasks, and multimodal workflows, while adhering to strict security and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Data labeling, annotation, and collection
- Content understanding and generation
- Audio, speech, and multimodal task management
- Model evaluation, quality assessment, and code related tasks
- Domain specific tasks including translation, localisation, and expert-level analysis
Qualifications & Complexity Tiers
Candidates are classified into distinct tiers:
- Tier 0-1: Entry/Support level (High School or Bachelor’s, 0-4 years)
- Tier 2: Advanced Contributor (Master’s, 3-5 years)
- Tier 3: Expert/Research level (PhD, 5-7+ years)
- Tier 4: Technical/Coding (CS/Engineering degree or 2-3 years dev experience)
