Original Job Summary

Overview

The ACH Operations Specialist at FirstBank is responsible for daily Automated Clearing House (ACH) origination and receipt processes. You will facilitate the transmission of files from clients and ACH system processors while ensuring compliance with NACHA and other related regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key tasks include processing returns, reversals, death notices and reclamations, along with addressing disputed ACH items. You will:

  • Process high volume ACH requests within deadlines
  • Assist Bankers with ACH Origination documentation
  • Conduct ACH Originator annual reviews
  • Provide phone and email support for ACH inquiries
  • Research and resolve internal and external account inquiries
  • Collaborate with team members on projects, system issues, and training
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, policies, and regulatory guidelines including Anti-Money Laundering

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree or equivalent experience, Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification, and 2+ years banking operations support experience.
