SRE Engineer - First Horizon Bank
First Horizon Bank is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. This role is crucial for enhancing our business monitoring capabilities across the organization. You will be instrumental in configuring and optimizing Dynatrace as our primary business monitoring platform and SolarWinds for network monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement robust monitoring solutions for business applications, infrastructure, cloud environments (Azure tenants and subscriptions) using Dynatrace SaaS Gen3.
- Configure and optimize Dynatrace components including OneAgent, synthetics, log ingestion, custom metrics, tagging strategies, management zones, and business application mapping.
- Develop comprehensive dashboards and reports tailored for both technical (SRE, DevOps, operations) and business (executives, application owners) stakeholders, leveraging DQL for advanced insights.
- Utilize alerts, problems, and events to provide actionable insights and proactively prevent incidents.
- Collaborate effectively with architecture, DevOps, SRE, security, and business teams to ensure complete end-to-end monitoring coverage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve monitoring configuration issues promptly.
- Ensure all monitoring setups comply with strict banking regulations and industry standards.
- Document monitoring configurations, dashboards, runbooks, and best practices.
- Apply SolarWinds monitoring experience to complement and enhance Dynatrace capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Dynatrace certification (e.g., Dynatrace Certified Professional) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct, hands-on experience with Dynatrace in large-scale enterprise environments.
- In-depth understanding of Dynatrace SaaS Gen3 architecture and its advanced features.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise technology stacks, including applications, middleware, databases, infrastructure, cloud, networking, and security.
- Proficiency in DQL for developing actionable queries and insightful dashboards.
- Proven experience creating monitoring dashboards for diverse audiences, both technical and business.
- Hands-on experience configuring OneAgent, synthetics, log ingestion, custom metrics, tagging strategies, and business applications.
- Experience monitoring Azure tenants and subscriptions.
- Demonstrated experience with SolarWinds monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with working in regulated environments, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
