Summary
The SVP Chief Compliance Officer reports to the EVP Chief Risk Officer and is responsible for designing, administering and leading First Bank of the Lake's regulatory compliance program. The role enables innovation in a specialized area of Banking-as-a-Service while ensuring adherence to federal and state laws and regulations. The CCO ensures that compliance is integrated into the business strategy.
Job Functions
- Develop and scale a compliance framework for innovative financial products.
- Advise all areas of the Bank on compliance-related matters.
- Review, analyze, and interpret current and new regulations.
- Deliver clear, data-driven compliance reports to management and Board committees.
- Foster a compliance-first culture promoting smart innovation.
- Monitor compliance systems and update them to address emerging risks.
- Act as liaison with regulators, examiners, and auditors.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and business unit managers to ensure compliance in marketing, products, and services.
- Establish and maintain a risk-based monitoring and training program.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required, MBA or related master’s degree preferred. At least 10 years of experience in financial services with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role. Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

Physical Requirements & Other Duties
This role requires prolonged periods of sitting, occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), and the ability to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities.
