About the Role
The Lead Data Governance Analyst will develop, implement, and oversee data governance strategies to ensure data integrity, security, and effective utilization of assets. Working cross-functionally, you will establish and maintain data standards, policies, and frameworks that support strategic objectives and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in data governance, preferably in financial services or real estate.
- Proven success in improving data maturity and management practices.
- Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with enterprise data governance policies and compliance audits.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of data concepts including policy as code, data mesh, and graph databases.
- Advantageous programming skills, particularly SQL.
- Certifications such as DAMA or CDMP are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data governance policies and standards.
- Advise technology stakeholders on data governance frameworks.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks, including stewardship roles.
- Support data stewards and owners in governance practices.
- Identify critical data assets and manage security considerations.
- Develop training programs to promote governance best practices.
- Monitor and report on governance metrics and KPIs.
- Conduct impact assessments and mitigate data risks.
- Maintain documentation of data inventories and business metadata.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to uphold data standards.
