Organic Growth Lead at Fireflies.ai

We’re looking for an Organic Growth Lead who can own Fireflies’ entire organic growth engine across both SEO and GEO. This person will drive our visibility across search engines and AI-driven platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Claude etc.

This role requires someone who moves fast, understands how search is evolving with AI, and can balance hands-on execution with team leadership.

What You’ll Own

Search Strategy & Planning
  • Lead the complete SEO + GEO roadmap across Google and AI search platforms.
  • Identify and prioritize keywords, themes, and content clusters aligned with product and audience needs.
  • Build content that reaches users throughout the full funnel.
Content Leadership
  • Write high-quality content yourself when needed and create briefs, frameworks, and guidelines for writers.
  • Manage and grow a network of freelance and in-house writers to scale content output.
  • Ensure all marketing, product, and website content is optimized for discoverability.
  • Audit and refresh existing content to improve ranking and AI model visibility.
  • Collaborate with PMM, social teams to align messaging and support launches.
AI Search Optimization (GEO)
  • Structure content to surface in LLM responses and generative search outputs.
  • Optimize for direct answers, snippets, and topic authority signals used by models.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging GEO practices and adapt our strategy accordingly.
Website Optimization (Copy, Structure & Performance)
  • Own and execute improvements to site structure, internal linking, schema, and indexation — hands-on.
  • Write or refine website copy (home, product pages, feature pages, solution pages) for clarity, ranking, and conversion.
  • Partner with product marketing and engineering to ship fast, search-ready, performance-oriented pages.
  • Oversee ongoing site audits to ensure pages remain optimized for both search engines and AI models.
  • Work with product marketing and engineering to publish search-ready pages and updates.
Authority, Partnerships & Growth
  • Drive an organic backlink strategy rooted in high-quality, reference-worthy content.
  • Work with partnerships and integrations teams to create co-authored content, guest blogs, and cross-collaboration pieces.
  • Identify authority gaps and competitor strengths and build plans to bridge them.
Measurement & Ownership
  • Track organic performance across search and AI platforms.
  • Own traffic growth and registrations from non-paid channels.
  • Lead the organic content function with clarity, speed, and accountability.
Key Metrics
  • Organic sessions and traffic quality
  • Sign-ups from organic sources
  • Visibility across AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, etc)
  • Rankings across priority topics
  • Backlink and authority growth

Who You Are

  • 6–8+ years in SEO/content roles within fast-paced SaaS environments
  • A strong, hands-on writer who can also lead and scale a team of writers
  • Deep understanding of modern SEO and emerging GEO practices
  • Analytical, structured, and comfortable owning results end-to-end
  • Fast, clear communicator who thrives in cross-functional collaboration
