About The Position
As Policy Director, U.S., you will be part of the Policy sub-group within the Fireblocks Legal Department. You will cultivate and maintain relationships with key policymakers, legislators, and regulators in the US and Canada, advancing Fireblocks’ mission of enabling secure digital asset interactions. In addition, you will collaborate with Identity and Compliance Product teams to empower the development of identity capabilities that reduce friction in accessing and transferring crypto-assets, financial instruments, and payment funds.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with policymakers to shape public dialogue.
- Develop and lead public policy strategy for Fireblocks products and businesses.
- Provide regulatory analysis and public sector engagement for emerging identity products.
- Advise leadership on US policy to support product and business strategy.
- Build and manage a network of key stakeholder and influencer relationships.
- Direct policy projects on issues such as digital asset custody, stablecoins, and DeFi connectivity.
Minimum Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in policy issues.
- Experience as an advisor in tech industry policy development.
- Experience with regulated industries, business strategy consultancies or technology sectors.
- Experience working with international teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent political, analytical, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Product and digital identity experience is a bonus.
Compensation & Location
The role is based in the US with a strong preference for candidates in NYC or Washington DC. For remote employees in New York or at the NYC HQ, a reasonable base salary range estimate is $175,000 - $240,000, along with additional bonuses, equity, and benefits.
