Job Summary
We are looking for an Equity Research Analyst to support buy-side investment strategies across for our PMS Platform. The role involves conducting sector-agnostic equity research, building financial models, performing company valuations, and identifying investment opportunities. The candidate will work closely with Portfolio Managers, prepare investment notes and recommendations, monitor portfolio performance, and track industry and macroeconomic developments to support informed investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Portfolio Managers/Investment Analysts to support investment strategies and portfolio decision-making
- Conduct comprehensive, sector-agnostic equity research on publicly listed companies and evaluate investment opportunities across sectors.
- Perform deep-dive analysis of public and private companies to identify potential investment opportunities.
- Build, maintain, and update financial models (DCF, relative valuation, scenario and sensitivity analysis) for existing and prospective investments.
- Carry out detailed company valuations and provide well researched buy-side investment recommendations.
- Analyze financial statements, annual reports, investor presentations, and management commentary to assess company performance and outlook.
- Track industry trends, regulatory developments, macroeconomic factors, IPOs, corporate actions, and quarterly results to monitor and validate investment theses.
- Prepare detailed research notes, investment ideas, event updates, and presentations for internal discussions and stakeholders.
- Providing periodic performance evaluation and risk analysis.
- Monitor portfolio holdings and provide periodic performance and risk analysis.
- Participate in management calls, earnings reviews, and industry interactions to strengthen research insights and support investment decisions.
Qualifications & Skills
- 10 years of experience in equity research, with substantial experience in a decision-making role within an AMC, PMS, or AIF.
- Strong expertise in the Indian equity markets, with a proven ability to identify structural trends, navigate market cycles, and generate consistent alpha.
- Demonstrated experience in building and leading investment teams, including recruiting, mentoring, and managing fund managers and analysts.
- Postgraduate from a reputed institution; CFA Charter holders or CAs will be highly preferred.
- NISM 21B mandatory.
Work Schedule
- Working Days: Monday to Saturday (Alternate Saturdays are off)
- Working Time: 8.30 am to 5.30 pm or 9.30 am to 6.30 pm
- Employees working on Sundays are eligible for comp off.
