We are looking to grow our Procurement team and are hiring a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support our growing purchasing needs. This role will be responsible for supporting several departments and will be at the nexus of all supplier engagement activities - including stakeholder relationship management, purchasing planning and negotiations/contracting. We are looking for a category expert who can cover the spend (focused on technology) incurred across all departments including Engineering, IT, Sales & Marketing as well as G&A functions. This role will report to the Director of Procurement and would be a great fit for someone that thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing, and high energy environment, and are looking for opportunities to learn and grow. This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.What you’ll do at Figma:
- Manage all purchasing needs for assigned departments
- Work with department managers and Strategic Finance to anticipate, plan and forecast purchasing needs for assigned departments
- Work with department managers to develop accurate scopes of work, including service specifications and any negotiated terms
- Lead all supplier engagement processes including conducting vendor due diligence, competitive bids and negotiations. Partner closely with IT for any technology-related purchases
- Develop award scenarios including cost models to support negotiations, decision-making and cost forecasting
- Oversee all purchasing activities such as shepherding the purchase request process, working with Legal through the NDA/contracting process and working with Security/Compliance to ensure security/privacy needs are met
- Manage the deal pipeline including negotiating deal closure timeline with suppliers and actively prioritizing deals with Legal/Security/Compliance Teams
- Support the execution of spend management projects that accomplish key objectives. Those objectives may include savings, process improvement, supplier consolidation, risk management, sustainable procurement or improving spend visibility

- 8+ years of relevant experience in technology-focused procurement or supplier management ideally in a fast-paced, high growth environment
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, contracting and negotiating with executives from suppliers
- Contract drafting, negotiations and redlining experience with a passion for driving cost savings and process improvement
- Strong customer service aptitude and collaboration-focused mindset

Pay Transparency Disclosure: If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range.
