The Role: Software Engineer, Growth & Monetization

We are seeking experienced full-stack engineers to join our Growth and Monetization Engineering organization at Figma. This dynamic group encompasses several key teams, including Growth, Billing, Enterprise, and Discovery. Each team is focused on tackling intricate challenges that enable millions of users, from nascent startups to Fortune 500 enterprises, to maximize their utilization of Figma's powerful tools. Depending on the specific team, your contributions could involve designing global-scale billing infrastructure, developing secure enterprise access systems, enhancing user discovery and organization capabilities, or spearheading product-led growth and monetization initiatives.

As a Software Engineer, Growth & Monetization, you will be instrumental in designing and scaling reliable, secure, and intuitive systems that facilitate seamless collaboration across the entire Figma product suite. This role plays a pivotal part in driving our rapid expansion, global reach, and the continuous evolution of our product offerings. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure our technology precisely meets the demanding requirements of our most sophisticated customers.

What you'll do at Figma:

• Design, build, test, and ship high-quality features across the full stack, utilizing technologies such as TypeScript, React, Ruby, Go, C++, and more.
• Own critical parts of the product that directly influence user experience, internal productivity, or revenue operations.
• Collaborate deeply with cross-functional partners in product, design, data science, support, and sales to define product direction and solve complex problems.
• Operate and meticulously monitor the systems you develop, maintaining a strong emphasis on reliability, security, performance, and user experience.
• Actively contribute to team culture by mentoring peers, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive engineering environment.

We'd Love to Hear From You If You Have:

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, demonstrated by a solid track record of shipping and maintaining complex systems or products in production.
• Full-stack experience, including proficiency with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React/TypeScript) and robust back-end technologies (e.g., Ruby, Python, Go, PostgreSQL).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with proven experience working effectively across diverse functions.

Added Pluses (Not Required, But Valued):

• Experience within B2B SaaS environments, billing/payments infrastructure, developer platforms, or enterprise-scale systems.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Stripe, Salesforce, NetSuite, Snowflake, SCIM, SAML, or WebAssembly.
• A background in experimentation, observability, compliance automation, or internal tools development.
• Prior work on extensibility platforms (plugins, APIs, widgets), or active contributions to open source developer communities.
• A passion for crafting exceptional developer or user experiences, coupled with an eye for elegant, maintainable architectural design.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and teaching, whether through mentoring teammates, leading initiatives, or sharing knowledge in code reviews and pairing sessions.
