Role Overview
As a Product Designer, Design Systems Features, you will define the nitty-gritty of how design system features function within Figma. You will shape the future of components and variables in the design editor and consider how other products in the ecosystem interact with design systems holistically.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to overall product strategy and feature decision-making.
- Deliver clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, design, and research teams.
- Create and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
- Design and ship high-quality product improvements in the Figma Design Editor.
Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience in designing intuitive UX and UI for complex systems.
- A strong eye for craft with capability in polished interactions and scalable systems.
- Experience working independently from exploration to launch.
- Proven record in designing for complex and system-oriented experiences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to synthesize feedback.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience building and maintaining design systems at scale.
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and frame open-ended problems.
- A generative mindset with enthusiasm for creative problem-solving.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a full time role with competitive salary, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges in Figma’s US hubs start at $164,000 and can go up to $294,000 USD annually, with localized adjustments for remote roles. Additional benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement contributions, generous PTO, and more.
