About the Role
The Community team under Growth fuels Figma’s top-of-funnel growth and delivers a product experience that inspires a global community of creators. The Community product connects, publishes, and monetizes designs while serving as a resource hub for templates, AI resources, and new product experiences. In the role of Manager, Software Engineering - Community, you will shape the product and platform roadmap to ensure Community remains both a beloved destination for creators and a growth engine for Figma.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a diverse team of full stack engineers.
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to set strategy and priorities.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and ensure cohesive product experiences.
- Collaborate with Product, Research, Design, and Data teams on growth strategies.
- Establish trust and create a positive, accountable work environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years managing high-output engineering teams.
- Hands-on technical experience building complex products and systems.
- Proven leadership in motivating and mentoring senior engineers.
- Prior experience in building and growing product businesses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to platform-level strategy and new product incubation.
- Experience in growth teams with hypothesis-driven product development.
- Expertise in product analytics and user research.
Compensation & Benefits
This full-time role offers a competitive annual base salary range ($250,000–$350,000 USD for San Francisco/New York hub roles), equity, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, generous PTO, and more. For remote roles, the pay range is adjusted according to employee work location.
