Role Overview
The Design Program Manager AI is a senior individual contributor role responsible for managing and scaling AI-driven design workstreams. This role partners closely with AI design leadership, engineering counterparts and cross-functional teams to bring structure, clarity, and sustainability to complex AI initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end design program management for AI workstreams.
- Build and manage an evergreen design eval program for AI work.
- Orchestrate collaboration across designers, teams, and pillars.
- Partner with AI Director of Design and engineering teams.
- Contribute to internal AI enablement through tooling, workflows, and guides.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate operational processes.
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to executive stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
Applicants should have at least 5 years of experience in Design Program Management and DesignOps, a proven track record in leading complex programs, and experience with AI-powered products or internal AI enablement. Experience with procurement, managing contractors, and a deep understanding of the design process is essential.
Nice-to-Have
Additional experience in running design eval programs, hands-on use of automation/scripting, or a background as a product designer is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
This full-time role offers an annual base salary range from $164,000 to $294,000 USD, along with equity, comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, PTO, and more. Salary may vary based on location, with remote roles adjusted accordingly.
