Overview

The Education Directorate at Fife Council Jobs and Careers is committed to improving life chances for all. As a Pupil Support Assistant Level 2, you will support children and young people to achieve their full potential by working under the supervision of a class teacher or senior staff member.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and small group support in learning and personal development.
  • Assist in updating pupil planning and review processes.
  • Supervise self-administration of medication and offer personal care.
  • Implement support programmes designed by specialists.
  • Support pupil mobility on an emergency or short-term basis.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Experience supporting young people with additional needs.
  • Required academic qualifications (2 National 5s, or equivalent).
  • Good IT skills and a commitment to register with SSSC within 6 months.
  • Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.

Additional Information

This is a temporary contract until 3 July 2026, working 30 hours per week for 39 weeks per year at Beanstalk Family Nurture Centre in Dunfermline.
