Job Description: Director, Software Engineering

Location: Westlake, TX

The Workplace Investing Quality Engineering (QE) leadership team is seeking a multifaceted, forward thinking organizational leader who is passionate about the customer and committed to quality. As the Director of Software Engineering, you will lead a distributed team of Quality Engineers in the Workplace Stock Plan Services (SPS) domain. You will blend deep quality practices with agile execution while coaching and mentoring your team to improve the value delivered to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a distributed team of Quality Engineers.
• Implement agile and quality engineering practices.
• Drive technical solutions and automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, and others.
• Collaborate with leaders to set standards and influence strategic decisions.
• Foster continuous learning, coaching and technical skill development.

Experience and Skills

• 10+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Expertise in quality engineering fundamentals including test automation, CI/CD integration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in people management, mentoring, and coaching.
• BS or MS degree in technical field; software testing certifications are a plus.

The WI Technology teams design, develop, implement, and support innovative products to deliver outstanding experiences. You will collaborate with global chapter leaders, people and product leaders across Workplace Investing.

Work Arrangement

Fidelity’s hybrid working model requires associates to work onsite every other week while enjoying the benefits of offsite work.
