About the Team

The Data Platform team manages the products and technical infrastructure for data at Fidelity. The environment includes databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake), data streaming (Kafka, Snaplogic), data security, data analytics (PowerBI, Oracle Analytics Cloud), data management and more. Cloud-based and on-premises solutions are provided along with automation and self-service tools. The company predominantly uses AWS, with occasional deployments on Azure and Oracle Cloud.

About the Role

As a Cloud Database Engineer, you will develop cloud solutions for our products and services. Your role covers both technical development and support work, striving to deliver secure, highly available, and compliant systems. You will also streamline processes and create self-service options to enhance customer service.

About You

You are a motivated, curious, and technically savvy professional with a collaborative spirit. Required skills include:

  • Effective implementation of cloud solutions with database focus
  • Understanding of fundamental AWS concepts such as IAM, networking, security, compute (Lambda, EC2), S3, SQS/SNS, and scheduling tools
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and BOTO programming (Java Script is a bonus)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub, Terraform, and Jenkins
  • Strong communication skills in English
