Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) is the leading independent clearing broker and custodian in the Canadian market, providing essential services to Canadian brokerage firms and registered Portfolio Managers. We are dedicated to developing industry-leading advisor platform capabilities, focusing on integrated service, productivity, and revenue growth tools through business process automation. This role is integral to our technology team, tasked with building critical solutions to automate manual processes.
What You Will Do
As a Full Stack Developer at FCC, you will be responsible for the end-to-end software development lifecycle. This includes developing, enhancing, modifying, and maintaining software solutions that automate business processes for our internal and external clients. You will provide solution architecture, document designs, write code, develop program logic for new applications, and analyze/modify existing ones. A key focus will be on successfully implementing system improvements, especially those related to process automation. You will ensure functional specifications are technically feasible, develop and innovate commercial technology assets, and implement Agile and DevOps best practices to deliver quality products predictably. Developing unit tests for high-quality code and ensuring product quality are also crucial aspects of this role. You will also complete necessary documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance, and liaise with internal user groups to effectively program applications based on business and systems requirements.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in web development, object-oriented analysis and design, and service-oriented architecture.
- Proven experience designing and developing web-based platforms to automate business processes.
- Strong knowledge of modern automation architecture, technologies, and processes.
- Experience with automation platforms such as Appian, RPA, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Angular (Typescript), JavaScript, Java, Hibernate, RESTful API, and Spring Boot for microservices creation.
- Knowledge of SQL and database platforms like Oracle and SQL Server.
- Experience using Agile project management tools (JIRA, Confluence) and automated delivery pipelines (CI/CD).
- Experience developing cloud-native solutions following industry best practices.
- Unix/Linux operating system knowledge.

- Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: A competitive annual range of $123,000 to $152,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
