The Opportunity
FICO (NYSE: FICO) is a leading global analytics software company empowering businesses in over 100 countries. As a Data Privacy Analyst II, you will drive the integration of privacy principles into the architecture, engineering, and deployment of FICO's digital products and platforms. This role is ideal for technically fluent professionals passionate about embedding privacy into modern systems.
You will serve as a strategic enabler of FICO’s global privacy program by translating legal and ethical obligations into scalable, privacy‐preserving design patterns. In collaboration with product, engineering, legal, and compliance teams, you will make privacy a design imperative.
What You’ll Contribute
- Architect Privacy by Design: Lead implementation of privacy controls across the technology stack using detailed architecture diagrams, data flow maps, and cloud schematics.
- Translate Law into Code: Convert global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) into technical requirements and reusable design patterns.
- Conduct Technical Privacy Reviews: Lead Privacy Impact Assessments and perform full-stack data lineage tracing.
- Enable Engineering Teams: Recommend best-case compliance scenarios with architectural alternatives and de-identification strategies.
- Build Privacy Infrastructure: Develop privacy tooling, automation, and governance frameworks with reusable templates.
- Foster a Privacy-First Culture: Mentor teams, run workshops, and advocate ethical data stewardship.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor emerging privacy technologies and evolving standards to assess technical impacts.
What We’re Seeking
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or a related field with 5+ years of experience. Proven ability to produce comprehensive architecture diagrams, data models, and system documentation for complex distributed systems. Demonstrable experience in designing privacy-preserving systems and understanding global privacy laws is required. Certifications such as CIPT, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, or similar are a plus.
