About The Role
Palantir is seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join its defense product vertical, a critical division responsible for developing mission-essential software for military and defense organizations. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing sophisticated, data-rich applications that support national security and operational efficiency. Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional frontend software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and extensive experience with React and TypeScript.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, performance optimization, and responsive design principles.
- Experience working in fast-paced CI/CD environments with modern build tools such as Webpack, Gradle, and GitHub.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Willingness and eligibility to obtain a US Security Clearance.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable frontend applications tailored to defense and security workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers—to translate user needs into effective technical solutions.
- Implement sophisticated geospatial and data visualization features, ensuring accuracy, performance, and usability.
- Build reusable, modular components using industry-standard libraries such as Blueprint, and adhere to best practices in UI/UX design.
- Participate in product lifecycle activities, including brainstorming, prototyping, testing, and deployment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by exploring new technologies, optimizing performance, and enhancing user workflows.
- Own and evolve APIs and schemas that support frontend functionalities, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems.
- Engage in regular code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high standards of software quality.
