About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Service Specialist to join our team, reporting directly to the Service Manager. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing technical assistance to both internal teams and external customers, ensuring timely and cost-effective support aligned with company guidelines. Your expertise will help enhance customer satisfaction by resolving complex technical issues related to ABB Power Conditioning products, including UPS systems and power electronics. Your hands-on approach will involve troubleshooting, commissioning, and supporting key installations, often at customer sites, to foster strong relationships and ensure optimal system performance. The role offers a flexible work model, including onsite, hybrid, and remote options, to support work-life balance and operational efficiency. You will be part of a dynamic, international team committed to continuous improvement and delivering superior service to our global customer base.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical service, field support, or maintenance of power conditioning equipment, UPS systems, and AC drives.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics, three-phase power systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in commissioning electrical systems and resolving complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Availability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to support global customers across multiple time zones.
  • Valid work authorization to work in the US for ABB.
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical service support for ABB Power Conditioning products as part of the global support team.
  • Collaborate with local and international ABB units to resolve customer issues, including warranty and lifecycle concerns.
  • Work closely with Agile teams to enhance support processes and product performance.
  • Develop and deliver technical training materials to elevate the knowledge base across service teams.
  • Participate in field activities such as installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance at customer sites.
  • Visit customer locations to gain firsthand experience and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Share best practices, lessons learned, and innovative solutions for continuous team improvement.
