We are seeking a dedicated Software Tester (gn) to join our dynamic team in Wetzlar. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative ophthalmic diagnostic devices. Your primary responsibility will be to plan, execute, and automate software tests, contributing to the continuous improvement of our products. You will work closely with development teams to analyze requirements, develop test cases, and implement automated testing solutions within our CI/CD pipelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a regulated environment, supporting the development of cutting-edge medical technology that impacts patient care worldwide.Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Technical Informatics, or a related field. You should have several years of professional experience in software testing, with strong programming or scripting skills in languages such as C++, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools is advantageous, along with a basic understanding of CI/CD systems like Jenkins or GitLab CI. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git is essential, and prior exposure to regulated environments like medical technology, ISO 13485, or IEC 62304 standards is a plus. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team are also required.Responsibilities
- Plan, create, and execute manual and automated software tests to ensure product quality.
- Develop, maintain, and expand test automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
- Create comprehensive test concepts, test cases, and specifications based on requirements and user stories.
- Integrate automated tests into our continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Analyze, document, and track defects, working closely with the development team to resolve issues.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of development and testing processes to optimize workflows.
- Participate in reviews of requirements, architecture, and code from a quality assurance perspective.
