About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Earthcam-Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge live streaming and video monitoring platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in software development, preferably in live streaming, video processing, or real-time data transmission.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with video streaming protocols such as RTMP, HLS, or DASH.
• Knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for live video streaming and monitoring platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, UI/UX designers, and hardware engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Implement and optimize streaming protocols to ensure seamless video delivery and minimal latency.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold software quality standards.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to minimize downtime.
• Research and integrate new technologies to enhance platform capabilities and user experience.
• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure supporting the company's services.
