About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic Offers team at bet365. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining real-time event-based systems that support our innovative betting offerings. Your contributions will directly impact the company's ability to deliver seamless and engaging betting experiences to millions of customers worldwide. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to empower the business by enabling rapid creation of new bonus mechanics and features, reducing dependence on technical teams for deployment. As a full-stack engineer, you will have the opportunity to expand your expertise across a diverse technology stack, including Go, Typescript, React, SQL, and Kafka, while deploying solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role offers a fast-paced, challenging environment that values technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration. It is suitable for professionals who thrive under pressure and are passionate about pushing the boundaries of software development in a highly regulated and competitive industry. The position is eligible for our hybrid working policy, allowing flexibility to work from home as per company guidelines.

Qualifications
- Proven experience leading development teams and successfully delivering complex technical projects.
- Strong passion for coaching and mentoring developers to foster growth and knowledge sharing.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize people and team dynamics over rigid processes to achieve optimal results.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills within fast-paced and evolving environments.
- Hands-on commercial experience working with Cloud Platforms, especially GCP.
- Proficiency in React and Typescript for front-end development.
- Extensive experience developing microservices using Golang.
- Familiarity with C#, .NET, MSSQL, or WPF is advantageous.
- Act as an escalation point for technical issues within and outside of office hours, ensuring timely resolution.
- Lead the design and development of scalable, maintainable, and high-performance systems aligned with business requirements.
- Implement active governance around solution design to ensure consistency, security, and compliance.
- Set and uphold high standards for code quality, testing, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet business needs effectively.
- Estimate work efforts accurately and document technical solutions comprehensively.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of technical solutions from development through to production deployment.
- Share knowledge proactively and mentor team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
