About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior User Researcher to join our dynamic product team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for deepening our understanding of user needs, attitudes, and motivations. Your insights will directly influence product strategy, ensuring that our offerings are aligned with customer expectations and market demands. As a senior member of the User Research team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data analysts, and engineers to translate user insights into actionable recommendations. Your work will help shape meaningful, customer-driven experiences that contribute to N26’s continued success and innovation in the digital banking space.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in user research within technology or financial services sectors. Key qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) conducting qualitative and quantitative research methods such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, and field studies is essential. Proven ability to analyze complex data and translate it into clear, strategic insights is required. Familiarity with digital banking products, mobile applications, and user-centered design principles is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are also critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Designing and executing comprehensive user research strategies to uncover customer needs, behaviors, and pain points across various touchpoints.
- Conducting qualitative research methods such as interviews, contextual inquiries, and usability testing, alongside quantitative methods like surveys and analytics review.
- Analyzing research data to generate actionable insights and present findings to cross-functional teams in a clear and compelling manner.
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to integrate user insights into product development cycles and strategic planning.
- Developing personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts that inform design and product decisions.
- Mentoring junior researchers and fostering a culture of user-centric thinking within the organization.
- Staying updated on industry trends, emerging research methodologies, and best practices to continuously elevate the research function.
