About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Developer to join our dynamic technology team at Luxoft India. This role is pivotal in enhancing and maintaining our risk management systems, which are integral to our financial services operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in developing risk platforms, with hands-on experience in front-office risk, market risk, or credit risk systems. The successful applicant will work closely with risk managers, quantitative analysts, and front-office stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-performance risk analytics engines, real-time data ingestion, and scalable microservices architectures within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services, particularly within risk technology teams. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is required, with an advanced degree considered a plus. Candidates must demonstrate strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in database development using MongoDB and SQL Server. Familiarity with risk data models, such as VaR, PFE, credit exposure, and market risk sensitivities, is essential. Experience working with real-time messaging platforms like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ is also required. Additionally, candidates should have a solid understanding of risk analytics libraries, pricing models, and integration with vendor risk engines such as Murex, Calypso, or proprietary systems. Experience working within agile development environments, utilizing source control tools like Git, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines, is highly desirable. Fluency in English at a C1 Advanced level is also expected.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance high-performance risk management applications utilizing Python and C++.
• Collaborate effectively with risk managers, quantitative analysts, and front-office stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement and support risk analytics engines, including scenario analysis, stress testing, and real-time market data ingestion.
• Develop scalable microservices and APIs using Python, integrated seamlessly with MongoDB and SQL Server backends.
• Ensure the high reliability and performance of risk systems by integrating robust messaging architectures using Kafka or IBM MQ.
• Participate actively in DevOps practices, including testing, deployment automation, and system monitoring to ensure seamless operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly, optimize system performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.
