About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative IT Architect to join our dynamic team at PreZero Deutschland KG. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge IT solutions that support our circular economy initiatives. Your focus will be on developing scalable platforms, integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and computer vision, and orchestrating complex ecosystems involving partners and stakeholders. You will translate business requirements into technical concepts, ensuring seamless data flow and operational excellence across our digital and physical processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible environmental impact while working at the forefront of technological innovation in the waste management industry.

Qualifications

• Academic background in (Business) Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field with a strong IT focus.
• Several years of professional experience in IT architecture or as a Technical Product Owner, particularly within complex B2B industrial platforms.
• Proficiency with microservices architecture, API integration, workflow engines, and data lakes, ideally within SAP or ERP environments.
• Strong enthusiasm for applying AI technologies, such as computer vision and agentic AI, to operational processes.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to the industry, including battery regulations and environmental standards.
• Excellent communication skills, with an agile mindset and willingness to travel to understand and optimize physical processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the IT target architecture, including frontend, logic, and data layers, and create a roadmap toward a scalable platform.
• Implement a comprehensive "Material Accounting" system to ensure synchronization of physical and digital material flows, enabling transparent and efficient resource tracking.
• Integrate innovative AI solutions, such as computer vision, to enhance material recognition and process automation.
• Evaluate and incorporate future-oriented technologies like Agentic AI to optimize operational efficiency and decision-making.
• Define and manage interfaces for external partners, including logistics providers and OEMs, facilitating seamless ecosystem integration.
• Translate complex circular economy requirements into precise technical specifications, data structures, and system architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals and regulatory compliance.
