About The Role
The Data Scientist – AI Execution at Stellantis plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and refining artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions that enhance purchasing data products and automation use cases. This position involves working closely within product owner-led teams to enable data-driven decision-making and intelligent automation across various business functions. The role ensures that AI capabilities are not only innovative but also robust, explainable, and scalable, aligning with corporate governance and operational frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background combined with excellent collaboration skills to translate complex business needs into effective AI solutions, ultimately driving efficiency and innovation within the organization.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models in a commercial environment is essential. Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R, along with experience using machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn, is required. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering concepts is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are critical. A background in automotive or manufacturing industries is a plus but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI/ML models aligned to Purchasing use cases such as recommendations, scoring, prediction, and classification.
- Partner with Product Owners to translate business needs into executable model logic and expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure models are production-ready, scalable, and performant.
- Work closely with Data Analysts, Front-End Developers, and UI/UX teams to integrate AI outputs into user-facing applications, including dashboards, chatbots, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Support multiple AI interaction patterns, including embedded intelligence, conversational interfaces, and emerging agentic solutions.
- Validate model outcomes, explainability, and performance, supporting responsible AI practices.
- Contribute to AI reuse and standardization initiatives within the company to promote consistency and efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to continuously enhance solution capabilities.
