About The Role
The Cloud Administrator II at MI Windows and Doors plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting our cloud-based infrastructure. This position involves overseeing the administration, monitoring, and operational support of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Dell Boomi, and Infor Cloud. The role requires ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of cloud resources, infrastructure as code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, certificates, and domain registrations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Data, Network, Server, Application Development, Security, and Support Desk, the Cloud Administrator II executes standard procedures, performs troubleshooting, and implements architectural components under the guidance of Cloud Engineers. This role is vital in maintaining operational excellence and supporting the company's digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
- 1-5 years of experience with traditional physical infrastructure management.
- Strong understanding of core infrastructure concepts such as VMs, storage, backups, identity management, and networking.
- Familiarity with basic network concepts including DNS, DHCP, subnets, routing, and firewalls.
- Experience with integration platforms like Dell Boomi, Oracle OIC, or similar tools is preferred.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation, particularly PowerShell.
- Working knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), RBAC, and cloud security principles.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor and CloudWatch.
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with effective communication abilities.
- A relevant bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is preferred.
- Certifications such as Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CompTIA Cloud+ are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily administration and management of cloud resources across IaaS and PaaS environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Follow established procedures to maintain cloud configurations, access controls, security standards, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, capacity, and policy adherence, proactively addressing issues as they arise.
- Respond promptly to incidents and troubleshoot service disruptions to minimize downtime and impact.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of operational procedures, configurations, and system changes for audit and knowledge sharing purposes.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans through scheduled tasks and validation exercises.
- Build, deploy, and manage cloud resources using infrastructure-as-code and automation tools, adhering to architectural standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to facilitate routine deployment tasks via Azure DevOps pipelines and other CI/CD tools.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud platform updates, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve infrastructure management.
- Support lifecycle management activities, including SSL certificate renewals, domain registration, and DNS management.
