About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analyst, IT Operations Linux to join our dynamic team based in Hyderabad. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of our Unix-based enterprise infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the overall availability, reliability, and security of our systems, supporting vital business operations. Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Linux system administration, with at least 5 years in a mission-critical environment.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with VMware and Nutanix virtualization platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as shell or interpreted scripts, with a focus on configuration management.
  • Extensive experience managing Red Hat Linux systems and administering Solaris environments.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, with at least 5 years of tenant administration.
  • Strong knowledge of storage solutions including SAN and NAS (preferably HPE and NetApp).
  • Familiarity with network protocols and hardware, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and networking hardware components.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of identity management systems such as Active Directory and LDAP.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Commvault, Veeam, or NetBackup is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and project management skills, with the ability to train and guide team members and non-technical staff.

  • Implementing, managing, and maintaining the company's Unix-based enterprise infrastructure to support critical business applications.
  • Overseeing storage solutions, including SAN and NAS, for Linux, Nutanix, and VMware environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Monitoring system performance, capacity, and usage, and liaising with users and vendors to address issues and evolving requirements.
  • Maintaining comprehensive system documentation, including licensing, hardware/software inventories, security protocols, and network layouts.
  • Planning and executing system upgrades, hardware installations, and software configurations to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establishing and monitoring backup procedures to safeguard data and facilitate disaster recovery efforts.
  • Managing virtualization environments, including VMware vSphere administration and high availability configurations.
  • Performing troubleshooting and diagnostics for hardware, software, network, and storage issues, working closely with vendors as needed.
  • Developing and maintaining scripts to automate routine tasks and configuration management processes.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Managing support tickets efficiently, prioritizing issues, and ensuring timely resolution to minimize system downtime.
