- Analyze specifications and layouts to fulfill customer design initiatives, applying knowledge of piping materials, joint types, slope, and insulation standards for constructability.
- Independently decide pipe routing to avoid clashes, leveraging trade experience and certifications in virtual construction meetings.
- Ensure all deliverables meet client and stakeholder needs.
- Communicate internally, with vendors, and clients to provide 360 feedback for business process improvements.
- Apply critical thinking to review design data in various formats for accuracy and constructability.
- Understand internal and external needs for information and deliverables.
- Provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of trade experience (Plumbing, General Contractor, journeyman, apprenticeship) or a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on building mechanical systems.
- Proven knowledge of Construction (pre & post) practices for Mechanical and Hydronic Piping Systems.
- Demonstrated experience producing fabrication-level piping models using Revit.
- Working knowledge of Building Codes for Mechanical Systems.
- Ability to interpret critical building and drawing specification data for independent decision-making in virtual design.
- Proficiency in computer-aided software such as Revit, Glue, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with point-layout workflows (Trimble or equivalent).
- Experience generating shop drawings, spool sheets, and hanger layouts.
Benefits and Compensation
