Overview
Fenwick & West is seeking a Client Accounting Specialist responsible for managing financial aspects of assigned partners’ client portfolios in accordance with departmental standards. This role collaborates closely with the finance management team to ensure best in class service for partners and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review client and matter setups to ensure compliance.
- Maintain and update billing instructions and documentation.
- Monitor work in progress and produce monthly prebills.
- Perform various billing functions including edits and write downs.
- Manage deadlines, collections, and resolve client disputes.
- Utilize systems like Aderant, ARCS, EIS, and iManage.
- Coordinate with attorneys and secretarial team on billing queries.
- Propose process improvements and support client service enhancements.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of legal billing experience, is proficient with automated billing systems (especially Aderant), and holds a Bachelor’s degree. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
Work Arrangement & Schedule
The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, from 9 am to 6 pm. Office location is based on Fenwick & West U.S. offices.
Benefits & Compensation
Competitive salary range ($76,000 - $107,500) with potential discretionary bonus. Comprehensive benefits include healthcare, life insurance, HSAs, FSAs, and wellbeing programs.
