Overview of the Human Resources Intern Role at Fendi

FENDI is offering a robust internship program for a Human Resources Intern. This position is designed to provide comprehensive experience in HR, combining learning with practical programmatic elements. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources Department with daily administrative tasks and various HR activities, demonstrating exceptional organizational, communication, and administrative skills.

This role emphasizes hands-on involvement in critical HR functions, from onboarding new employees to supporting internal communications and managing HR data, all within the dynamic environment of a luxury fashion house.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboarding Support: Assist in the preparation of welcome packets, set up new employee profiles, and help with initial orientation activities to facilitate a smooth transition for new hires.
  • HRIS Management: Accurately input, update, and manage employee data in the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and strict confidentiality for new hires, terminations, status changes, and personal information.
  • Internal Communications: Support all company internal communications, including drafting and distributing organization-wide announcements.
  • Inbox Management: Manage the HR department's email inbox, prioritizing inquiries and forwarding them to the appropriate team members for timely resolution.
  • Reporting: Run basic HR reports, such as headcount reports, attendance summaries, and training completion rates, under the guidance of the HR Manager.
  • Compliance & Performance: Support the administration of annual compliance trainings and assist with communications related to the performance management process.
  • Research & Development: Conduct research on current HR trends, industry best practices, and relevant labor laws to support ongoing departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Document Management: Organize, file, and retrieve HR documents, both physical and digital, in accordance with company policies and compliance regulations, including assisting in digitizing historical records.
  • Project Coordination: Support various HR projects related to training, employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and other HR-related matters.
  • Employee Engagement: Coordinate various employee engagement activities to foster a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Availability to work in the New York City office Monday-Friday: 9-6pm.
  • Bachelor’s degree or previous internship experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • A genuine passion for Fendi and the Luxury Industry.
  • An interest in Talent Development and Employee Engagement is a plus.
  • Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work autonomously.
  • Experience with an HRIS system is a plus.
