Role Overview

The QA Automation Engineer II will join the IT team in East Grinstead, UK in a hybrid role. The candidate is responsible for both quality assurance automation and production support for Fender's applications supporting global operations.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and build automated testing systems for IT eCommerce applications.
• Write and execute automated test cases integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
• Research, prototype, and propose reliable automation solutions.
• Establish performance benchmarks and manage defect tracking.
• Coordinate with European teams to resolve issues and support production systems.
• Monitor AWS cloud services, batch jobs, ETL processes, and scheduled tasks.
• Document incidents, perform root cause analysis, and manage production deployments.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of the Playwright automation framework.
• Experience with Postman for automating REST APIs, Lambdas, and Data Loaders.
• Proficient in web UI technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Hands-on coding expertise and understanding of QA procedures and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with Yocto/OpenEmbedded, QT, real-time audio processing, and Linux kernel development is preferred.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Selenium or Cypress.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills; English is mandatory, Spanish a plus.
