Overview
The Instructional Design Specialist at Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) supports the creation and enhancement of biblically-sound educational and training materials for global staff and volunteers. This role collaborates with the Instructional Design Manager and the Training Team to develop engaging online courses, workshops, webinars, and knowledge articles.
Ministerial Duties
This role carries significant ministerial responsibilities, expecting candidates to:
- Affirm FCA's Christian Community Statement.
- Engage in daily prayer and Bible study.
- Provide spiritual leadership through prayer and example.
- Participate in a local church actively.
- Exhibit conduct in line with biblical standards.
Role Responsibilities
Instructional Design: Design and develop training programs, courses, webinars, and supplemental materials ensuring they are biblically aligned and meet learning needs.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Work with subject matter experts and FCA's Training Team to translate expertise into effective training modules and continuously evaluate training efficacy.
Technology Integration: Support LMS implementation, utilize eLearning software for multimedia training, and stay updated on instructional technology trends.
Evaluation & Reporting: Implement formal training evaluations using the Kirkpatrick Model and analyze learning data to enhance future programs.
Continuous Learning: Engage in professional development to remain current on instructional design best practices, particularly in nonprofit or ministry settings.
