Position Details
This is a hybrid role based out of our Chicago office. Employees work in-office an average of 2 days per week and benefit from a 30-day 'work anywhere' program during each calendar year.
The Opportunity
The Specialist, Visual Identity & Graphic Design will bring our brand to life through cohesive, compelling visuals. Responsibilities include:
- Manage & Evolve Visual Identity: Maintain and update brand guidelines and audit materials.
- Design Multichannel Assets: Create static and animated visuals for digital and print.
- Develop Templates & Toolkits: Build and manage branded templates (e.g., Canva, InDesign).
- Collaborate Across Teams: Align visuals with narrative by partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Administer Design Tools & Assets: Oversee design platforms and manage asset libraries.
- Support Donor Communications: Design visual elements for reports, presentations and communications.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 4 years in graphic design, brand management, or visual content roles (nonprofit preferred). Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, and MS Office is needed. Must excel in typography, color theory, layout systems, and transforming complex data into clear visuals.
Preferred Skills
Experience with motion design, understanding of accessibility standards, and design asset management systems is a plus.
