Forklift Operator at FedEx Supply Chain

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating basic powered material handling equipment (excluding Order Picker, Turret, and Drexel) to support product receipt, storage, and order fulfillment. This role ensures product safety, quality, and legality while maintaining operational efficiency and accuracy, working the 3rd Shift, Sunday-Thursday from 10:45pm to 6:45am.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform full-case order picking for replenishment, customer orders, and packaging components.
• Retrieve and put away pallets in narrow aisle bulk rack storage systems.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines using equipment or manual handling.
• Sort and build product pallets to meet customer specifications.
• Apply shrink wrap to pallets using appropriate machinery.
• Complete pre- and post-operation equipment checklists.
• Maintain storage location accuracy through daily cycle counts and inventory maintenance tasks.
• Perform other distribution functions as needed based on business volume and operational needs.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate basic powered material handling equipment (e.g., electric pallet jack, forklift).
• Comfortable working on equipment at extended heights.
