Shift: Monday - Thursday (2nd Shift, Afternoon/Evening) located in Edwardsville, IL near Pontoon Beach and Gateway Industrial Park.

Position Summary

The Forklift Operator 2 is responsible for safely operating complex powered material handling equipment including High Reach, Order Picker, Drexel/Turret Swing Mast, Clamp, and Double Fork Truck. The role focuses on product receipt, storage, and order fulfillment, ensuring product safety, quality, legality, and integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Full case order picking for replenishment, customer orders and packaging components.
• Pallet retrieval and put away in narrow aisle bulk rack storage system.
• Quality control to maintain accuracy in all transactions.
• Use of wire guidance systems for navigating narrow aisles where applicable.
• Loading and unloading pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines.
• Sorting, building and wrapping products to meet customer expectations.
• Daily cycle counts and routine inventory maintenance tasks.
• Adhering to strict OSHA safety rules and performing other distribution work functions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 6 months experience with daily power equipment operations.
• Must meet PPE and fall protection requirements.
• Ability to operate multiple types of powered material handling equipment.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Customer service driven and a strong team player.

Physical and Cognitive Requirements

Candidates must be able to follow policies, read and interpret information, perform basic arithmetic, and handle physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing, walking or sitting.
