Position Summary
The Retail Customer Service Associate at FedEx Office consistently delivers a positive customer experience by using consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. This role involves expertise in print, signs & graphics, and shipping along with responsibilities to take orders, manage store activities, provide pricing and product information, and recommend appropriate FedEx Office products and services.
General Duties and Responsibilities
People: Follows supervisor instructions, assists team members, and helps train new staff.
Service: Provides consultative behaviors in a retail setting by understanding customer needs, offering printing, signs, graphics, and shipping expertise, and resolving customer issues quickly. Handles complex orders using order systems and operates store equipment for printing, binding, and shipping.
Profit: Processes financial transactions using a POS terminal, handles cash operations, maintains store merchandising, and supports financial reporting and paperwork to optimize profitability and reduce waste.
Self-Management: Manages multiple tasks, seeks continuous improvement, operates with minimal supervision, and adheres to FedEx Office standards and policies.
Essential Functions
This role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 55 pounds, bend/twist as needed, communicate effectively, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain focus over extended periods. Consistent attendance and adherence to established business hours are essential.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with 6+ months of specialized experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
