Sr Business Analytics Advisor at FedEx Logistics

This role is responsible for data analytics and visualization within the Finance department at FedEx Logistics. The candidate will work with minimal supervision and interface with multiple operating companies to gather required data for modeling, analysis, and technical support. Responsibilities include building database libraries, extracting and manipulating data, and conducting analysis for operational and planning projects.

The role involves managing and participating on complex projects related to the development, testing, and roll-out of new business systems, infrastructure, reports, processes, data feeds and other deliverables associated with enterprise brokerage and transportation systems.

The candidate will collaborate with various departments and management levels to design and deliver analytical capabilities via management information systems and decision support tools. The position requires effective communication skills to capture data management requirements from internal and external stakeholders and translate these into actionable reporting, dashboard development, and data visualization best practices.

• Gather business requirements and determine optimal reporting platforms.
• Conduct root cause analyses and provide improvement recommendations.
• Design and develop metrics, reports, dashboards, and analyses.
• Serve as an SQL expert and understand database relationships and data integrity.
• Review trends across the industry to conduct effective data storytelling.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering, data analytics, computer software or a related field is required, along with five years of experience in data analytics, data management and/or engineering. Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Tableau, SAS VA, and Spotfire is essential. Candidates should also exhibit strong analytical, presentation, project management and communication skills.

Additional Responsibilities

Responsibilities include assessing opportunities, recommending improvements in business strategies and technology architecture, and managing data visualization needs with a detailed roadmap for management. The candidate may perform additional duties as assigned.
