Overview
The Sr Operations Admin at Federal Express Corporation is responsible for performing clerical and administrative functions across hub and station operational areas including linehaul, quality assurance, and customer service. This role involves handling damaged or incorrectly addressed packages promptly to optimize delivery times and serving as the first point of contact for customers.
Essential Functions
Main duties include:
- Providing clerical support: photocopying, filing, faxing, emailing, and handling phone calls.
- Reviewing, researching and entering data into systems, and compiling reports for management.
- Serving as frontline customer service to receive, solve, or escalate inquiries and issues.
- Assisting management with Business Control Self Assessment (BCSA) audit activities.
Additional Functions by Area
Quality Assurance/Loss Prevention: Address searches, package condition checks, prioritization of workflow, scanning, hazardous material handling, and report compilation on package discrepancies.
Linehaul: Data entry for Independent Contractor settlement information, preparing Department of Transportation (DOT) documentation, logging mileage, tracking pilot metrics, and handling IC inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Four (4) years in customer service, clerical, or related environment; dock operations or distribution center experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- General business skills and proficiency in data entry.
- Competence in Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
- Strong customer service abilities to professionally respond to requests.
- Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking skills.
Job Conditions
Minimal travel required and variable OB/evening hours.
