GIS Computer Science Engineer Co-op at Federal Express Corporation

As a Federal Express Corporation Co-Op, you will be immersed in projects that provide valuable, real-world experience within a professional environment, directly related to your field of study. This co-op rotation is the first of 2-3 additional rotations, requiring 40 hours per week, with an anticipated start date of May 18th. Essential Functions

• Present and deliver long-term solutions that will significantly impact business operations and/or enhance the customer experience.
• Participate in various networking and/or community service events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Candidates must be a currently enrolled student or a recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) from a college/university, maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher. A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related quantitative discipline is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently and as a valuable part of a team.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills are necessary to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling diverse tasks and changing priorities while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for communicating across various business units and to all levels of management.
• Ability to analyze, review, and make well-informed recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

Computer Science/Computer Engineering majors are strongly preferred. Proficiency and knowledge in Python, ArcGIS, and ArcPy are also highly desirable.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary for this position is $25/hour for undergraduates and $30/hour for graduates. A $2,000 stipend is available for those relocating over 50 miles for an on-site or hybrid internship or co-op experience. This Co-op position will span the Summer and Fall terms, from May 2026 to December 2026.
