Location: Farmacy HQ in Mahwah, NJ. Hybrid: In-person 2 days/week (Wednesday & Thursday) plus ad hoc as needed.

About the Role

The Assistant Manager, Product Development assists in creating new skincare products from ideation to execution. This role includes managing day-to-day project tracking and collaborating with R&D, Marketing, Creative, and Regulatory teams to move projects forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive creation of products through the entire product development lifecycle.
  • Assist in research and execution of product innovation.
  • Partner with R&D and cross-functional teams to define product concepts and coordinate regulatory and testing needs.
  • Prepare R&D briefs on texture, fragrance, ingredients, positioning, and claims.
  • Evaluate formula submissions and provide feedback.
  • Track and communicate product and packaging submissions, approvals, and project status reports.
  • Coordinate and analyze various testing phases including safety and consumer panels.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant Product Development experience
  • Experience in the beauty/skincare industry is a must
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a start-up environment
  • Reliable commute to Mahwah, NJ office (min. 2 days/week)
