Trading Operations Associate at Fanatics

As a Trading Operations Associate at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you will be integral to the operational management of the Pre-Live & In-Play Fanatics Betting & Gaming Sportsbook product. This role involves critical tasks such as event settlement, managing retail and online incidents, and collaborating closely with Customer Operations, content, and other customer-facing teams to ensure a premier betting experience. While previous trading experience is not required, a keen eye for detail and the ability to perform under pressure are essential. This is an ideal entry point for individuals aspiring to a career within a Sports Trading Department. Please note, the position requires flexible working hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays, to accommodate the dynamic sporting calendar.

Responsibilities

  • React to and manage internal and third-party incidents for both retail and online products, coordinating with customer-facing departments for swift resolution and minimal customer impact.
  • Proactively monitor and maintain the customer-facing product to the highest standards, including event signposting, resolving customer queries, and ensuring accurate scoreboard information.
  • Cultivate a 'Customer First' continuous improvement mindset, collaborating internally and externally to enhance the Sportsbook product and foster strong third-party relationships.
  • Accurately and timely settle markets across the Sportsbook.
  • Schedule and book all sporting events, working with the broader Trading department to optimize the In-Play product daily.
  • Assist in the maintenance and analysis of operational performance reporting linked to Customer First KPIs.
  • Be open to regular travel to events and other Fanatics offices for various offsite and team meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • This is an Entry Level Position, requiring 0 - 2 years of experience.
  • A genuine passion for Sports and an inherent understanding of what sports fans desire for entertainment are crucial for success in this role.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays, covering the busy sporting calendar.
  • Possess a team-first mentality, demonstrating a willingness to complete tasks and effectively collaborate across FBG and the wider Fanatics organization.
  • Excellent time management, meticulous attention to detail, and strong prioritization skills.
  • Competitive and highly motivated with a 'can-do' attitude, capable of using initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills and an outgoing personality.
  • Able to operate effectively both within a team and as an individual.
  • Consistently excellent under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good organizational skills.
