Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is on a mission to create the best online sportsbook. As a Software Engineer I Full Stack at Fanatics Betting & Gaming, you will develop, implement, test, and maintain scalable, high-quality, low-latency systems to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Launched in 2021, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics Holdings Inc., a global digital sports platform. The Fanatics Sportsbook serves nearly 93% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, document, and deploy high quality software into production.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and assist in troubleshooting software issues.
  • Escalate issues when tasks or projects hit roadblocks.
  • Engage in code reviews and sprint planning discussions.
  • Develop an understanding of the industry, product, and roadmap.
  • Stay current on technologies and trends in software development.
  • Travel occasionally to FBG offices and events for conferences and team-building.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
  • 1+ years of full-stack development using Java and React.
  • Good understanding of Spring, React frameworks, and microservices.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and SCRUM.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-first mentality with strong ownership and initiative.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a start-up environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity for solving complex problems.
  • Able to work cross-functionally within an enterprise environment.

Compensation & Benefits
