About the Role

The Security Engineering Manager at Fanatics is responsible for defining, implementing, training, and executing the engineering strategy within Fanatics Betting and Gaming. This role builds tools, creates processes, and influences our security posture for customer facing products and internal platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily security engineering tasks and communication with security operations.
  • Maintain and improve a mature security operations program using DevSecOps.
  • Develop and implement a data-driven engineering strategy and roadmap.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and prioritize technical efforts.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical expertise within the security team.
  • Ensure development teams adhere to established engineering best practices.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in engineering management.
  • 4+ years leading governance, risk and compliance programs.
  • 4+ years managing incident response programs.
  • Expertise in SIEM, SOAR, WAF, DLP, and enterprise security tools.
  • Experience with security monitoring in CICD and containerized environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Lean practices and AWS core services (Azure and GCP a plus).
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
