Job Description
At Families in Transition, our mission is to Prevent and Break the Cycle of Homelessness. We empower people by providing dignified housing, delivering comprehensive solutions, and developing collaborative relationships with clients, donors, and volunteers. As a Shelter Support Staff, you will work in our Adult Emergency Shelter monitoring the safety and well-being of shelter participants.
You will be responsible for:
- Monitoring safety and enforcing shelter policies.
- Coordinating bed assignments and assisting with the intake process.
- Supporting and triaging mental health crises.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and non-threatening environment.
No previous experience is required; however, experience with mental health or substance use disorders is appreciated.
Available Shift & Compensation
Shift: 1st Shift, Part time, Friday-MondayPay: $18/hour

Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with an understanding of housing safety concerns and proficiency in excellent customer service. Must be willing to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
